Hi.
I bought a Supercard and a Passme now but when i start the DS i only got to see white screens. I read, that i have to update my DS but i dont know how to do it. I read about opening the battery hatch but i cant seem to open it because the screw is too small.
Hope someone can help me^^

1. did you try booting with only the supercard, and no passme?  this will allow the supercard to attempt to boot into GBA mode.  If you STILL get white screens, then something unusual is happening (i.e. faulty supercard, perhaps)

2. If you can boot into GBA mode, but get white screens with passme inserted, then your DS is an 'updated firmware' version, and you will need to buy a "passme 2" from dspassme.com, or some other site.  You CAN update your passme's cpld to work with your DS, but if you can't open your battery cover, I doubt you'll be able to flash your own passme. no offense...

3. the battery cover uses a very small phillips head screw.  try a 'jewellers screwdriver kit' or a screwdriver made for eyeglasses (they are usually cheap).  it is not THAT small.. :)

4. As for flashing your DS firmware (which is why you would need to remove the battery cover), you will need the passme 2 to do that, so no need to go opening your battery cover just yet.  I heard that you can use WifiMe to install flashme using a compatible wifi card, but I don't know about that.  Flashme is an alternative to using your passme every time you play.  it is an addition to your DS's firmware which allows running DS code from your GBA slot, which is also what passme does.  flashme can also protect your DS from being "bricked" in the event of accidentally running a 'bricker' program.

I dont have a ds with a new firmware coz i bought it when it came out and i didnt play mario kart yet.
I tried booting with only the supercard in it but it wont show anything. Do i need some files on the SD Card?

Just put the passme and boot in NDS mode, that should get you playing (did you put games on the SC, right?)

did you read all of the post above?

having the passme in your ds slot will boot you into DS mode.  i don't want to state the obvious, but just to remind you that you need an original DS cart in the passme when you insert it.

If you aren't even able to boot the supercard into GBA mode, there is something really wrong.

If you insert your supercard in your DS with NOTHING in the DS slot, and turn the power on, you should boot into GBA mode.

on a side note,  make sure your sd card is formatted to FAT16 (also known as FAT).  you can do this from within Windows, by right-clicking the removable drive and selecting 'format'.

If you aren't even getting an empty supercard menu, then something else is wrong, and it has nothing to do with your passme

[EDIT] and, i'd like to say that while i don't mind helping, all this info is readily available in this forum, and has been discussed in MUCH detail.  there is more info than you probably will ever need, and many case studies for you to look at, and compare your situation to.  just search a little.  [/EDIT]
