Ok, I get my WMV to an MPG, and I get the .dpg file fine.
I need help on how to create a "loader" for it... in steps if possible please... I'd REALLY appreciate it! :D

Unzip the dbgenc then replace the base file with this one http://rapidshare.de/files/9424213/dpgbaserom.zip.html

It's got the loader preinstalled on it so now every time you put it through the encoder you just need to use the NDS file (no more having to apply the loader to every file)

Ok, here's what I did.

Downloaded the MPEG->NDS program, and substituted the file you said.

Then I ran the mpeg through and got an NDS and a DPG file.  Ignored the DPG file.  Open the Supercard converter (latest version, have used it successfully with games and moonshell), and I get the error message:  Access Violation at address 00586067 in module 'SuperCardNew.exe'.  Read of address EAD02084.

:(

You don't use the super card patcher. Just put it directly on the SD.

It then says it can't find the plugin.

From the MPEG-NDS program, do I need to copy any files to the Supercard?  Do I load it as a game?  From Moonshell?  Do I need the DPG file in the card?

Read my guide. It tells you exactly what you need to do. Nothing needs to be transfered to the DS except for the NDS file with your video file.

Something sad I just discovered though... the player locks up after about 6-7 minutes of video... thus making it kind of useless unless you break up your video files into 6-7 minute parts. I suggest everyone just wait till a new version that isn't so beta-ish.

I didn't know you were into video koji.  That's my job: video editor.  heh.

anyway as for this app, I get error: not found SimpleExtendData
showloghalt.

weird.. any idea what SimpleExtendData is in this context?

I got the same thing.

Koji just curious, how many minutes can you get with 32mb?

sneef

it depends on the bitrate... at the quality he was recommending (160kbps video, 64kbps audio) you can get roughly 20 minutes in 32 megs..

Koji

I think I must have messed up that file... I'll have to double check it later, till then just apply a normal NDS loader to the final product (replace the file I told you guys to replace with the original for now)

sneef

ya.. works fine with the original file, appended to loader manually
