i noticed the pins on my SD card are getting wasted, so if they keep getting wasted i'll probably end up with a damaged SD...
i don't know if this is supercard or sd-reader fault, but is it normal? are you guys getting your SD pins f*cked up too?
maybe it's the reason there are so many "SD card not found" topics on the forums...
maybe i'm beeing dramatic... it's just that i have my SD for 1 week and err.. i really don't wanna break my SD so soon...

DO you mean they are "scraped"? If so, this is normal. Don't worry so much!

SD cards don't have pins, they have contacts. And it's normal for the contacts to wear down over time. And no, it doesn't necessarily mean it'll stop working. My contacts have been worn down for awhile. The coating is supposed to make it easier to transfer data... I'm not so sure it matters too much.

if you get a little isopropyl alcohol(tape head cleaner fluid),can be bought easily at most chemists,drugstores,etc-pour a few drops onto a cotton bud and rub lightly,it cleans the contacts a treat. :D

the reason why i got worried about it was seeing this thread:

it's about m3 wasting the contacts... look at the picture, they're so wasted that it stopped working...
i guess m3 may waste the contacts even more...

If your contacts get damaged there is a way to fix, by putting something conductable on the contacts
