Noob SNES playing on SC question

Hey all.. I just got my SC card last week and am new to this whole scene.  I use it on both my DS and GBA SP.  I am using a 2GB PQI Hi-Speed 60 Compact Flash card with 0 issues so far. I loaded a ton of .nes roms and they work beautifully.

I grabbed a few SNES roms (.smc files) and they weren't even listed when I booted the SC.  I tried using snesadvance.exe to convert them to .gba files - but those don't play either. I just get a white screen when I try to load one.

My question is.. how can I get SNES games to play on my SC?  My second question is.. exactly what types of games does this thing support?  Is there anywhere I can find a complete list AND their respective file extensions?  I always see things like PCE, SMS, GG, etc listed.. I don't even know what half of that means.

Thanks in advance.

I can only help you out a little bit but not all.....

PCE - PC Engine
the actual console takes cards for games. It's was initially home console then they put everything into handheld and takes 10 or 12 batteries I think... -_-||| I remember it getting famous because they had the bomberman from arcade on them. But the battery consumption was crazy -_-|||

actually I have a question about this too, did PCE ever come to US??

SMS - Sega Master System
GG - Game Gear (Sega)
these two I dun think I need to explain... lol

also it plays Gameboy games that support are black and white!
It can't play Gameboy color games tho, however there are a certain games that support both color and black and white, those would work on the emulator.

for the snes part....
I tried some snes roms that are converted to .gba files and they didn't work with me either.  Also I tried NES games that are converted into .gba format as well, but they dun seem to work.... I'm not sure if we need to do any convertion with the supercard software.... but I'll leave that question to someone else LOL

Yes, the PCengine came out in the US. It was named TurboGrafx 16. The handheld version was the Turbo Express.

The supercard has native NES support, no need to convert anything.
And you should check the website for  SNESAdvance to see what games will work with the emu

I saw in my playing around that SC has native NES support (.nes files).

I have also noticed it plays:

.gb - Gameboy
.gg - Game Gear
.sms - Sega Master System

It runs these files on their own.. are there any others it will play without me doing anything other than drop it on the CF card?

Thanks for the SNES info - working on getting those converted and running now.

Aside from SNES, the Supercard will play all the ROMs I listed using the built-in version of the emulators I posted in bold.

Dialbo,

I have dozens of gbc files and most load a monochrome screen saying "you must use a Gameboy Color to play this game."  The few that did work were not in color.  Any ideas.. do I need to do something to the .gbc files to get them to run correctly?

Sorry if I'm asking jackass questions.. I'm pretty clueless and it's a lot take in at once.

Your question is fine (though your spelling is a little off ).

The Goomba emulator was designed to only play original monochrome Game Boy games.  However, many Game Boy Color games (456 out of 1253, to be exact) were designed to be compatible with the original Game Boy (this was achieved by running them in a monochrome color scheme, just as original Game Boy games are played).

Therefore, since Goomba is a Game Boy emulator that can play all games that an actual Game Boy handheld can, it can also play these 456 Game Boy Color games the same way that an original Game Boy handheld can (in monochrome).

For a complete compatibility list for the emulator, refer to this page from the Official Goomba site.
