how to change a gba file to a nds

I tried typing  .nds at the end of the file but that did not work. It is a file that I ran through dsbuild it came out with .ds on the end of it but it is a GBA file

do you have "hide known extensions" turned on in windows?  if so, turn it off, so you can see the .gba extension on the end of the file. Then you will be able to change the extension the way you were wanting to.

or you can just do the change in command prompt.. rename the file in dos.

I'm not really sure what you mean, now that i re-read your post..  maybe what i just typed is not relevent.  if not, just ignore it.
