Dudu.exe

Dudu.exe

it came as a  rom loader and a porn anime image viewr... but can be disguised as any game/homebrew!

inter4ever

does that mean if i download a DS game rom and run from my DS,my DS can be bricked if it includes the trojan(i mean can rom dumps be hacked and the trojan can be built into it)

thx in advance

scootdog

Most antivirus programs now detect it.

You can also download a tool called DSLasy and it has a function you can scan for it with.  Google for it or check the "Help and Tips" section.

Koji

the DS bricker is INCREDIBLY rare anymore. It's just like any other trojan... you get it from downloading files from insecure places.

Hibbity

Keep yourself safe, install flashme, just my .02 cents.

Critical_Impact

A fair amount of people have got their nintendo replaced after saying it stopped working and not telling the people they flashed it.

Quote from: "cheerup347"what if nintendo found out about it?

would you get fined and stuff?

also.

if i did flash it, it broke, then i unflashed it.

how easy is it to make it look exactly the same?

thanks

O_o fined? You can't be fined for modifying something you own. The absolute worst they could do is say your warranty is void and you'd have to pay them to fix it.

That'd be like purchasing a car, adding new rims, then taking it in and the people you sent it to repair it would charge you a fine for adding rims. It doesn't make sense.

If you DS is completely broken, you won't be able to unflash it. If you get the bricker when you are using flashme, you can fix it yourself. If you get the bricker WITHOUT flashme, you'll be screwed. You'll either have to return it to nintendo, or you'll have to solder your DS so you can use PPflash, which wouldn't be any fun at all ^_^

socket

yeah, you really can't get in legal trouble or anything for modding your ds.

when my speakers went out i sent my to nintendo after removing flashme and they didnt question it at all.  i did lose the original sticker for the sl1 hole but used the one from the ds they sent me and put it on my return ds.

Quote from: "cheerup347"im just trying to make sure ig et all the information i can before i do anything permenant.

what sticker do you ahve to remove?

everyone keeps talking abut it. i dont know what tey're on about.

is bricking my ds the only way i can harm the ds when using superpass all the time?

I have a sort of solution to my bricking thing.

my briother is going to get a supercard for his old ds, he also wants to flash it, im going to buy  a superpass 2 and take a few quid off him and let ihm flah his ds, that way, i can jsut test all the roms i want to use on his first!.

lol

can you use superpass 2 to flash my bros ds, then i use it all the time so i dont have to dlash mine?

The sticker is a red and white sticker under the battery cover. It blocks the SL-1 contact that you need to bridge when you install flashme.
