Havent had a chance to check it out, but basically its here:
http://www.cs.utah.edu/~tew/snesDS/

grab "12-13-2005 - SuperCard SD " and give it a go. May have to run the bat and possibly add a loader to get a snesds rom to run with the supercard SD, but you shouldnt have to build any rom files into it.

to quote loopy on it:
QuoteI threw in SuperCard (SD) support. It doesn't load to supercard ram (yet). Thanks to brakken for the hardware.
GBAMP support is broken for now, until Chishm fixes his other bug
The whole emulator is pretty unstable right now though Sometimes it helps to reset a rom after it's loaded.

I was just about to post this... but I was doing some tests first. Here's what I've discovered.

To get this to work simply download the file and rename the snesds.bin to snesds.nds and put any SNES games you want into the root folder (not sure if it can read folders, I'll test that later)

I'm still testing save support... it doesn't seem to support individual game saves at all (which means you still need a snesds.sav and you only have so much space) yet anyways. Not sure if the other saves at all either, at least it didn't for BoF (but I didn't build me rom I just ran the bin which may be the cause of that too. More testing is in order)

Since SNESDS doesn't support the supercard ram (again, yet) the maximum SNES rom you can load is 3Megs (24mbit). Running 4meg (32mbit or higher) through it will cause a crash since there isn't enough ram in the DS. To play these games, you'll just have to use the old method of building the roms together with the game and loading them from ram.

Still, this is an awesome first step. Besides the obvious benefit for SNES ds, it could probably be added fairly quickly to flubba and loopy's other emus once it's perfected.

(edit) A few more notes. Seems saves do not currently work at all (or are in such a manner that I can't figure out yet)

If you only have 1 SNES rom in your supercard when you load up snes DS it will automatically start to load that game (which confused me at first since I started SNESDS and I got 1 black screen and 1 white screen until the game finished loading into ram)

When you select a game from the list, it takes a few moments to load it. If it's a game over 3 megs, it will freeze at trying to load it.

And it NEVER will on SNESDS. Mario kart used the DSP-1 chip... SNESDS does not have the power to emulate any of these special chips.

I'm currently transferring my SNES ROM collection from 3000+ zip files on 5 CDs to unzipped SMC files on a DVD, so I can pick a few to try with this.

I'll post game-by-game results ASAP.

Edit: Don't post or PM asking me for any of them... it's not that hard to find them. I happened to run across a huge collection all in one place, so I grabbed them.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Check out pocketheaven's forum. There is a compatibility list going there as well as my list of games that will NEVER work on SNESDS (IE, every game that contains a special chip)

As I said before no games can save in this version. Seems loopy is more interested in trying to get as many devices supported as he can right now before working on the core. I'm hoping they'll add HDMA emulation (and can get it running without too much slow down) before too long. HDMA is the only thing keeping chrono trigger from being playable as well as many others.

Update:
Quote from: "Loopy"Loading to SuperCard ram works now. yay.

Off to test the new version.

(edit) Well.... I can play 4 meg games now... sorta. They crash very very quickly though.

Changelog... there isn't really one. If you check www.pocketheaven.com 's forums you can usually get a feel for the changes from what's posted there.

Try reading this thread or the thread at pocket heaven. It's a new and very buggy version. In fact, I'd say it's more of a proof of concept buid. It shows that loopy can add a general driver to SNESDS something (by the sounds of it) he'll be adding to all future versions of his emu.
