Where to buy?

Hopebuy seems to be where everyone is getting their supercard, and the price is right but the shipping is atrocious!  I understand shipping across the world (I'm from USA) is expensive but $20 seems really too much.  Are there any other dealers where I can get one for less than the $40+20 Hopebuy charges? Most places I've found that don't charge as much for shipping are already charging $60 for the unit before shipping, so I'd still be better off with Hopebuy.

Also, if you need a new CF card, Newegg has this Kingston 512MB one for $34 - $10 MIR (good until the end of April).  It was in stock last night but seems to be out now but it says they'll have more tomorrow.  I'm gonna grab one when they get back in stock.

They charge a high shipping not because it costs that much to ship the product, but to make up for their lower product pricing.  When you order online, you always comparison shop based on shipped price (meaning the price of the item, the cost of shipping, plus any applicable tax) rather than just the item price (as you have observed).

Refer to this thread for info about the sites that other users have ordered their Supercards from.

BTW, thanks for the heads-up about NewEgg's sale, and welcome to the site.

Yeah I pretty much assumed that's why shipping was high.  I already have the funds in Paypal so I guess I'll just order from Hopebuy, better than drawing from my cc/checking accounts.

Well I guess they aren't accepting paypal directly right now so I used a Paypal Virtual Debit Card.  If you don't know how to do this, log in to your paypal account, scroll to the bottom and click "Shops" then on the next page in the right hand column click "Shop anywhere."  Make sure any popup blockers are off or allow paypal.com.  Then enter in the URL of any shop in the box. This will popup 2 windows 1 big one with the store's site, and a small one at the bottom with your temporary "debit" card info.  Just use that information when filling out the billing info on the site.

This allows you to use your paypal balance at any site that accepts MasterCards.  I find it pretty useful but not many people know about it.

Another note from others who have ordered from Hopebuy, about how long will it take to get here?

Hopebuy is expensive but shipping times aren't bad at all.

Recieved both my supercard (ordered monday night from Hopebuy), and CF card (ordered tuesday from trusty ol' Newegg).  No complaints on either one.

The controls on PocketNES (v9.97 built in to supercard) don't seem quite as responsive as a real NES or PC Emu, is this caused by the slow down?  I noticed when I fudge around with the speed hacks it helps a little.  It's pretty apparent in the original SMB and SMB 3, but not quite as bad in the other few games I've tried.

GBA games seems to do quite well, Minish Cap, M&L Superstar Saga and SMA1 work great.  MKL Super Circuit has some slowdowns, but it was playable.

Got mine from Chipdealers... took 8 working days.. not bad
