v7.3 of PCEAdvance has been around since February 26 of this year.....I wonder if the one on the Official Supercard site is modified for specific use with the Supercard? Or, perhaps, do you think Romman is going to mirror all the main emulators for the GBA on his site?

I wonder if the Supercard can simply use an updated emulator if you simply stick one in a folder with your ROMs for that particular emulator...

Like for instance, make a folder for your NES ROMs and put the latest PocketNES.gba file in there with them.

It's worth testing.

My Supercard has v9.97 of PocketNES on it, and I just tried your suggestion with v9.96 and v9.3, but the ROMs loaded with v9.97.

I also tried upgrading PCEAdvance (I have v6.9 on my Supercard) to v7.3, but it also loaded with the default version.

Interesting thought, though. :wink:

Coud it be that ROMman has modded the code of the PCE.GBA file hosted on the official site so that it copies itself into the SC's PROM?

I also tried downloading form the PCEadvace site and renaming the .gba file, etc but it still loads in v6.9.

The file is now mirrored on our site. Why it's been named fce.gba, I don't know...

Since nobody has commented on this, I thought I'd mention that I just tried the FCE.GBA file and it works fine - just copy it as is into the folder on your CF card with your PCE ROMs in it, then load the ROM as usual. Hit L+R and you will see the version number is 7.3
