Hi all :)

I've been trawling through these forums and other areas of the net for help with my problem but can't find any!  I apologise if this is simple and the info in an easy to find place but I'm stuck.

I recently bought a Supercard (SD version) and am waiting on a Superpass2 so I can Flashme my DS.  I thought for the time being I would play a few old NES games on my DS.  Anyway, here's the problem.

When I powerup the DS and select the GBA slot from the main DS menu it loads the Supercard menu system.  Unforuntately though it doesn't list ANY files on the card.  The menu is blank, except for the "List", "Saver", "Options" and "Help" tabs up the top.  The bottom screen is completely blank.  I searched on the net for screenshots of the Supercard running, and the ones that I found displayed a supercard logo on the bottom screen.

Do I have to have the superpass2 setup to be able to run videos, e-books and NES games from the supercard?

I checked that my SD card was formatted as FAT (not FAT32) and it was.  I reformatted it just to be safe.  I've tried to update the firmware/kernel of the supercard but I have the same problem as above.  It won't recognise the files as being present on the SD card.  What really confuses me is that I get no error messages.

Somewhere I found a way to check the firmware on the Supercard (I have since forgotten the key combo I held down) and it was 1.53.

Somewhere I read about needing to boot it in GBA mode to update the firmware.  I may have the wrong end of the stick on this, but I can't fiugre out how to boot it in GBA mode.  The closest I've come is having the DS auto load whatever cart is in (eg. the supercard in the GBA slot), which results in the same problem.

The SD card I'm using is a 256mb SanDisk card with the number on the back (I assume thats a serial number or a batch number) being AR05034YK.

I hope I've made this clear and easy to understand. :)

Any help that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated!

Also, sorry if this is in some sort of Supercard manual, but mine came without any documentation or cds. :)

What you are doing at the moment is booting up in GBA mode (ie. going into the DS bios and selecting 'GBA Slot')

I think, that the problem is somehow related to the files.
Are you just putting the nes roms in your card?. Also, try to reformat your card.
You may also try with some GBA.
And, when using GBA mode, the other screen will be off.

Thanks for your responses guys. :)

I reformatted my SD card this time on a different computer and it all works perfectly.  I'm not sure what they hell was happening the first time, but I was able to see files this time and update the firmware!

Thank again.
