Quoteyeah i really havent coded anything in this, i just put the new fat in that works with SCSD

alright, so...sorry I am an ultimate noob who has no idea what compiling means or what you guys sometimes talk about, but basically...this makes it possible now for SD users to have direct file system access ?

Could even I set this up ?

Sorry again about probably dumb questions ^^

Compiling is taking source code (human readable code) and then translating into a computer readable code (binary).
What are these guys doing? Thy take the ScummVM DS Source code, and the FAT driver source code, then modify the first one in order to work with the second code. Then they compile it (make a NDS executable) and that's what compiling is.
And the only way to set up your own FAT driver is to know programming. Leave that to the pros and simply get the Binary posted above :)

works great. tested it with "Fate of Atlantis" (talkie). But I still cannot save though I set the path every time I run ScummVM. Another problem is still the
accuracy of the touchscreen. But I tried another ScummVM build with a modified touch.c and it works perfectly. Could someone include it in his realease? --> http://www.scdev.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2660

i can't seem to get my CD audio working. How do i convert the audio??
because for instance on my Sam 'n Max game, there is only a MONSTER.SO3 file. No wav file of any kind.

How can i convert this kind of file to get it working on my NDS?

thanx in advance! this forum / site is great!

My largest file is called MONSTER.SOU and I just added every file just like they were. Worked fine.

ScummVM on the DS only supports the original uncompressed MONSTER.SOU files, if you have the SO3 version of the sound file you will get no sound.  As far as I know, there is no way to convert an SO3 file back to SOU.

I have tested this with the talkie version of Sam n Max and it works great!!!

Personnally, I have no saving problems.
I just create a sav file the same name as the scumm nds executable,
then, i save my game, then turn off the ds, then turn it right back on, and save to sd with the sav file (in the supercard menu).
It works like a charm...

You guys are so lucky, I wish I had brought my games with me :(
I almost want to buy Day of The Tentacle again

Anway, yeah, your SO3 file is a compressed version of the original SOU file, and thats the one you need...no need for a wav file, at least not for Sam and Max or Day of the tentacle. You better start looking for an original version of the game.

IIRC the only games that have wav files are Loom and Monkey Island CD version...and maybe more, but I cant remember...

But how do you creat a save file, you create a .sav empty file ?
And how do you save ? Do you use the ScummVm menu or do you use the supercard manipulation e.g. (L R Select B) ?

I tried to save with the scummVM menu  with an empty .sav -> says ok but actually fails
I tried to patch the arm9.nds file with the supercard software but the software freezes...

Thank you for youre help !

enjoy!

Please, can you recompile it using the last libnds (Feb 1st)? It will solve the accuracy problems, as they updated the arm7 touch.c lib and now everything works just right.

Thanks.

I think Yoko99 is a little confused, or at least he's using an older version of ScummVM DS than the test version posted in this thread.  You cannot save using this latest test version that supports full speech games on the Supercard SD.  I have tried dumping a .sav file in with the rest of the game files and tried naming it the same as the ScummVMDS.nds file but you still cannot save.  Even using the old QPC method which used to work fine, does not work when you are streaming the game direct from the SD card.

@Yoko99 - with the new test version, the game is run directly from the SD card and not made part of the ROM, therefore the size limit is removed (meaning full speech supported) but saving is now not possible.

I don't understand guys, if I try to save here it works flowlessy.
I just tried today the latest test build(arm9.nds) and it works very well, at least with Monkey Island.
I did not patch the application, I just saved it straight to the SD card without even a fake.sav file, and it works right from the scummDS save menu. No need to QPC or RTS or whatever.
So where is exactly your problem ?
