I am sure I am just being a bonehead and missing something simple. I have a new DS, Supercard CF and passme2 from http://www.natrium42.com pre-programmed for Nintendogs Labs USA.

I formatted my CF card via Windows explorer using the FAT file system. Then put the flashme.nds file from here http://ds.gcdev.com/dsfirmware/ on it.

I took off my battery cover, plugged into the wall, inserted my passme2 (with the Labs cart in it) and the Supercard (with the CF card in it) into the GBA slot.

I then turned on my my DS, ready to flash it so I can get cracking on playing some games. The health and safety screen comes up then both screens go white. Turn off and on, same thing. Take out the passme2 and it functions as it always has. Did I get a bad passme2 or am I doing something wrong in the boot up process?

Crappy pic but here is what I have:

PassMe2 isn't "plug & play" like PassMe1 was.

1. Insert SC with FlashMe & passme2buttonwait.gba.
2. Boot in GBA mode, run passme2buttonwait.gba, select game, write SRAM.
3. Insert PassMe2 with game, powercycle DS.
4. Run flashme.nds off of SuperCard.

I think that's right; there's a "how-to" in the Info section.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

That does not look like a natrium42 passme2. That looks like a passme that I saw in a review of a M3...or was it a Neoflash? I know I saw that wierd looking passme device before, in which the DS card is inserted behind the unit in that way.

natrium42  is sending out passkeys reprogrammed as passme2's currently...  I got one off him yesterday in fact ;)

Thanks for ordering PassMe2. Your order has been upgraded to a Passkey
with PassMe2 code. This has the advantage, that it's not longer a bare printed circuit board, but electronics encased in a plastic shell. Passkey is a PassMe clone, so it has all of PassMe's advantages. It can be easily reprogrammed (if necessarry in the future) -- but since I program it with your choice of game support, this is not needed.
