Yo!
My friend just bought a new silver DS model: NEH 118...
I olso ordered for him SupercardSD and Superpass1.
After turning on, the health screen appears as normal, and then...
just two white screens!!
I wanted to ask is this only because i use Superpass1 (maybe i need Superpass2?), or problem laies somewhere else???
He uses Metroid demo for booting.
Next question is: In which way superpass2 and passme2 are different???
The thing is that i can only order Passme2 in my country and i want
to know if it will work with this DS and SupercardSD for sure.
I heared that in Superpass2 u can upgrade firmware, is it possible in
Passme2 as well???

if it's a new firmware DS (yellow screen when you pop an NDS game out during pictochat) then you need superpass2 for it to work
superpass2 is different in that it requires a specific game and the specific game file.gba to boot

passme2 and superpass2 are essentially teh same device. passme 2 was desinged by users for booting the new ds. superpass2 is a name brand passme that is put out by the people that make the sc. superpass and passme2 both require a specific cart to load in ds mode for each cart you need a specific file for the passme2/superpass2 thus both of them are programable to accomidate for different carts. with most sites that sell the passme2/superpass2 they include a programing cable as well. most cart files are already avaliable for download.

it is also posible to upgrade or flash a superpass or passme to a superpass2 or passme2.

The only problem with doing the upgrade is that you have to manually program the card (involves taking apart teh passme and building your own cable) and you can only load one specific cart version. once you do this you have to reprogram if you want to use with differnt cart or on a older ds as they need passme/superpass1. I am also not sure wheather or not you can use the programer to change the flash files that come with the passme2 on a upgraded passme1/superpass1. but it really isnt that hard to upgrade just tedious

I think i can manage it, but if u can give my some toutorial how to do it,

also if you are going to reflash just some pointers.

1. it takes 3 AA batteries to achieve the 3v mark needed to power the cble not 2 as indicated in teh pcture.

2. the version of impact is newer then the one that they have screen shots on

when you start up you will see a differnt screen. just select new prject after connecting everything and then do a full boundry scan. from there its pretty much the same

3. you only need to program it once with the cart file from natriums site you dont need to use the generic passme2 file.

4. and since you have a superpass make sure you use the superpass pin out and not the passme as they differ
