joybulb

does anyone know the diff between real time save and reg sc save?

Blight

with real time save you can save at any given moment.
with normal save you can save when you save in the game.
(btw some games have real time save built in like pokemon, but you can't save in battles with rts you can.)

so do i have to do both types of save when playing a game like miish cap?

karurosu

no, you can only use normal save, but you can always use rts when needed (for example before a boss battle)

Im not sure i understand, do i go to the save menu in minish cap and select save as normal, or do the button combo to do sc normal save whenever i feel like it? im confused

joybulb

so with real time save, i can only load until i turn off the game, and with sc normal save it will load for me when i turn the console back on...is that correct?

No, with RTS you can save anywhere and load it any time (you can turn off your gba for 10 years if you wanted to and could still load the RTS when you turned it back on)

Assuming you use the button combo to save the RTS to the card.  L+R+Select+B to save RTS to the flash memory, similar to the L+R+Select+A for norma saves.

You use the same button combo to restore a saved RTS save.
