The earlier GBA Flash linkers had slow ram and some games needed a speed hack.

So why cant this be done with the Super Card Patcher ?

I'm sure it can be done, but each game would require a separate patch I guess. You couldnt do a universal patcher to speed up any game.

Something to think about anyway !!!!

Won't work cause the supercard has only occasional slowdown.
if you scrap the frame limiter the game will run WAY to fast and only run at the desired speed when slowdown accours.

Hmm... I'm still curious about this and I wouldn't mind taking a bit of a look. Do you happen to have any information on how to find the frame limiter in games?

So we would need to only speed up the area's that are slow.

Thants a bit tricky hey  :?

So what we need is a turbo button that can be turned on and off in-game

Actually, that would be a cool use of the x or y button, I just have no idea how it could be implemented.

I DO remember people saying that they could theoretically patch individual games to get them to work properly, but it would be so hard to do that it wasn't worth it.

A little thing, X and Y buttons, as well as other NDS features are not accessible from GBA mode.

It sounds like a mod like this one would do the trick for GBA-I think they even have such a mod for DS. They also offer a modding service that usually only costs as much as the DIY kit plus shipping. Anybody have any input on this?

It claims that speed can be changed in game with a button combo

Nope, no mod for DS as of yet. I'd still like to hear peeps input on this one. I hadnt even considered this mod before. I hadnt thought of the implications for slowdown.

Thanx,
