What do I get?

Right, I wanna get in on the act and buy a flash card.  I have a GBA Micro and don't want to experience slowdown on games.  I'm quite attracted to the SD super card but don't want to experience slowdown.  I have a quick SD card already.

What's my best bet?  I don't want any unsightly bumps coming out of the machine so I'm a bit put off by the compact flash version.  Does it stick out far?

The CF Supercard is the same size as a GBA cart but the CF card sticks out of it about half way.  You can remove the CF card once your chosen game has loaded.

I only have the CF version so I cannot comment on the performance of GBA games on the SC SD but I will say that many games GBA games do have noticable slowdown.  For example in Donkey Kong 2 the game is half speed at times on levels with water.

I think there is a compatibility list on this board with the games that have slowdown listed.

Good Luck,

Steve.

Cheers Steve.  Can anyone else comment on whether I'd be better off getting a flash card that doesn't use external media?  Are these upto normal speed?

Here is the list:

Also it looks like some games may have improvement since v2.50 firmaware, I havn't upgraded yet and I really only play DS games nowadays, and they all run fullspeed...

If you want to use an external media device that doesn't have slowdowns on GBA, you'll probably be best off with M3.

If you want a non external device... I heard Flashadvance cards are all pretty good.

What's M3 and where can I get one for the UK?
