I'm having problems with my CF reader/writer

My CF reader/writer is in my printer. I have an hp psc 2175x all in one.
I've been trying to put Sonic Rush on there for a while now. Whenever the file gets to about halfway done, it says it couldn't save the data. The game doesn't work. Could the file be too large? Does anyone else have suggestions? I'd like to get this working as soon as possible.
Might the thing have a file size cap?

i would suggest just buying a all in one or usb SD/CF reader/writer - it might be possible that ur printer could have a cap on how large files are when you send to it.

That may be for the best. Any one else have advice?

Have you had any problems with any other files that are 64MB or larger? If you haven't that probably isn't the problem.

It does seem an odd problem to be having with a single game though... You might still want to look into a seperate reader. You can usually pick up a cheap reader for $5-15.

Well, the trimmed Castlevania copied with no problems. I've copied many individual file all at once that were of a size greater than 64mb with no problem. But that isn't one individual file. I'll have to think of another example, and experiment a bit more.

it may just be that file itself, could be a dud

After some more experimenting, it seems that whenever I set the rom position to the CF card, it doesn't work. Does anyone know why this may be?

is this just for that file or for all your files?, are you using latest patching software and all that kind of stuff?

Himura

Sorry to revive an old topic, but yes, I am using all the newest software. It is when I set things to CF position that the file (no matter what size) refuses to work. For smaller files, the Supercard position works fine. Any idea why this is? I'd like to experience some faster loading times and larger games.
