Dumping firmware to Supercard SD? (DS firmware v5)

Hi guys

I got my girlfriend a DS today, and went to flash it but FlashMe didn't recognise the firmware, so I didn't want to risk going ahead with the flash.  The firmware is v5 (confirmed by the pictochat method):

Since this firmware is pretty much brand new, and hasnt been dumped yet, I'm wondering if someone could guide me how to dump it with a supercard SD?  I found a program that dumps to GBA SRAM in chunks of 256k, but I've no idea how to get it from SRAM to my computer?

Many thanks

Koji

What program is that do you have a link? I've never even seen that and I've actually been looking for something like that.

Also, do you mean it saves to the 256K s-ram of DS games? If that's the case, to remove the data from s-ram you need to use the program RAIN.

It was released by Natrium42 a while back...

Its been a while since I did this but its basically something like...

put the dumper on your SD, create 4 64k .sav files ( eg dump1.sav dump2.sav dump3.sav etc ) using a random gba .sav file or just a blank file. Run the dumper and dump the first part, reboot the DS and go in the saver tab, select the sav file ( eg dump1.sav ) and the SC will dump the contents of SRAM to the sav file. Repeat that until you have it all dumped then copy the sav files to your PC, combine them using eg

copy /b dump1.sav + dump2.sav + dump3.sav + dump4.sav  firmware.dump

Doing it now, has anyone got a contact for the flashme guys?

Hmmm its just not writing them at all on the new DS.  Works on my old one fine.  Strange.

Couldn't get my dumps to work even with the help of natrium, must've been my Supercard.  Anyway, Just to confirm, I went for it and flashed my v5 (magenta colour check).  Worked fine.
