I have a Lord of the Rings The Return of the King.avi  movie.  I used moonshell .992 's    dpgenc.exe but when I ran the program, an error occurred.  It said "cannot detect total play time"  Can anyone help me?  I am having problems converting movies into dpg.

I have already read Koji's guide.

I have no problem converting mpg and mpeg files, just avi files.  Do I HAVE to use a converter to convert the avi into mpg files, and then use dpg.exe?  Can I Directly convert avi into dpg?

Codec the movie uses? If worse comes to worse you could use something like TMPGEnc to make an mpeg of the movie and then convert the mpeg.

I had the same problem. the file is probably divx format. I had to download the player with the codec and all movies converted after that. good stuff!!
