I just recieved my superpass 2 / Supercard SD.
Whenever I try to program it, it gives me these errors
Error!
1. Hardware not connected to pc
2. USB cable not connected
3. SP2 key switch not open

I think i'm doing it correct, here is what I am doing:

plug parallel into computer
use male to female parallel converter, and plug into SP2 progammer
Plug USB into compter and SP2 programmer
flip switch on SP2 to position down (enable writing)
plug SP2 into programmer
Open SP2 program
Choose Mario Kart DS (U)
Hit program

I don't know what's wrong, it should be working fine.
I followed the manual on the SC site (http://www.supercard.cn/superpass2/Superpass2_en_Help.htm)

I checked all the solder points, and all the pins on the cables, and they are all in order. Please help me!

I ordered it from Jandaman new, so I think it should work.

Thank You!

L.D.

My problem was on the picture the switch is on the right but it must be turned left.
When I turned it left it workt perfect.
Hope it works for you to.

Pistolen08

I tried holding the switch left, in the down position, but it didn't do anything.

Is it supposed to click left and right, like it does up and down?

L.D.

If you hold the superpass2 up the switch can go up and down.
But on the picture it is on it's side.
Thats why I sad left and right :)

But it is weird that it does not work with you.

EDIT: I got a different helpfile than you. I got mine on a cd.
I will look to see if there is something different in yours and mine.

Pistolen08

oh, I misunderstood you, but if you look at theis picture

it says it can move left/right too

I tried using both positions on the supercard, but it still doesn't work.

Go to your BIOS, and enable all your parallel ports
If they are enabled, change settings.

The way your picture is the switch must go down.

Good point karurosu

Pistolen08

Oh no, this is a nightmare!!!

I went into the bios, and my parallel is enabled, but I wanted to make sure the switch was all the way down, and it broke off!

I switched it up, then down, and the plastic part fell off. I'm not sure which it's set on now.  I hope it's on bottom

I tried fiddling arounf with a screwdriver, but i couldn't catch the switch.

Although it seems like it was broken before, I seem to have made it worse.

I wonder if I can return it for another one.

Pistolen08

Under BIOS settings for the parallel port, I can change modes between
PS/2
EPP
ECP
AT
and Disabled

The default is PS/2 with an I/O address of 378 h

karurosu

I think the option should be EPP. But try with others.
About the switch. You can open the Superpass2 and move it manually, or even replace the switch. Another thing you can do is send it for warranty.
