It's really great to hear that, I'll try to make a transfer of my office to tokyo (I work in volkswagen brazil), i speak a little japanese, but I learn fast :) (and i love japanese animation and manga)

thanks for the tip mavis :P

Yeah Tokyo seems like a great city let's all move there lol!

$1200 custom molded earphones that you use on a train?  You've got to be kidding.  I wish I had your income.  Web link?

hehe... I live in Tokyo too. You could leave your DS sitting on a seat at one end of a train, walk 10 carriages to the other end, walk back, and it would still be there. Or at least at the feet of the little old woman who pushed past everyone to get the empty seat...

These headphones are used by Ozzy Osbourne, The Eagles, NASA, Eminem, The Pat Metheny Group, KORN, Dave Matthews Band, Luther Vandross, Neil Diamond, and 50 Cent, among others (they have a client list on their site) ... They retail for about $800 IIRC but I paid quite a bit more because I dealth with their Japanese agent exclusively, who took care of my fittings, customs, and all that stuff. It's not like I could afford a new pair every month (or every year for that matter) but as a one-time expense, I figured it was totally worth it (killer sound quality, bass to DIE for, and -26db ambient noise blocking - a MUST for commuting in Tokyo) ... ;)

Anyway, yeah - a safe place to live, comparitively speaking. You just have to deal with day to day discrimination and racism, but I guess it would be the same in any country where you are a minority (and a very obvious minority, at that) ...

yeah. here in brazil we have some descrimination to portugueses and black peolple (sucks)

axis2k

haha. I don't really notice the discrimination or racism of Tokyo, outside of middle-aged housewives not sitting next to me on the train; Which is, frankly, a blessing.  I just wish fat, smelly salarymen would do me the same service. The masses in Tokyo are a bit on the cold side, but they're equally cold and unresponsive to Japanese and Foreigners alike.

MHentai

it's better to anyone not talking to you then here in brazil we have some poor people (or acting people), begging you for some money

In my city we have a japanese colony, and it's really hard to make they accept your presence in their events (the two major events is in june, called imin matsuri (imin for imigration) and in september, called haru matsuri (spring festival, but i known you figure out :P)) or in their lives. I learning japanese culture and their language about 10 years, and now they don't descrimine me so much :)

mavis and/or axis2k: If you see a ganguro, yamanba in the street, please take a picture from her making a 'love and peace' with her hand :P (and try do kiss her once for me :P)

axis2k

hahaha... the trick is to get them not making a peace sign

And generally I only have pictures of Junior High School students (I'm a teacher, just before you start thinking anything funny  ).
haha, but If I meet any friendly gyaru's in Shibuya, I'll see what I can do for you.

Quote from: "Koji"If you have anything in the DS slot (unless you are in GBA mode), the DS sends power to the DS slot.

I was wondering this thing also because there are many different answers on the web on this subject.

Thanks for the info...

MHentai

hey axis2k lemme figure out our class:

- Good morning students, in today class we'll learn how to flashme a nintendo ds :)

-

what kind of lessons you teach?

axis2k

Hahaha, no, I'm supposed to be an English teacher,
but basically it's my job to be interesting/fun. Mainly I just chat with kids in a mix of Japanese and English.

It's pretty cool, its hard to have a bad day when cute kids yell out 'I love you' when they see you.

My toys (DS/PSP) are just to relieve boredom on the train at the start and end of the day.

Wouldn't it be possible for the patcher software to remove the DS card checking interrupt? Although, what's more important, does it still send power to the Supercard when it's sleeping? A normal DS game in sleep mode can last for a week or so, I believe, so it can't be sending that much power to the DS card. Does it get that kind of sleep battery life when the Supercard is inserted?

it's funny to see how much spam you wrote in this thread
