You know how the SuperCard lists your files by when you transferred them to it?

This program lets you sort the files on your CF card in alphabetical order.

Works great :)

Better don't try with XP. I tried it and later to find out that windows could not read my files after I reinsert my cf even the supercard can read my cf.

That stinks.  I assume you can just reformat the CF card in XP to get it working again?

Nope, the computer could not even read the cf in the first place. So I could not even format the cf.

I brought it back to the dealer and he resolved it by reformat it using his computer and a different card reader cos he also could not read the cf using the same card reader that I bought from him.

Luckily he can do that, if not my month old 512mb cf would have being wasted.

Whenever I copy a new ROM to my CF, I get everything back in alphabetical order by first creating a temp folder on the CF then moving all ROMs in that folder into the Temp folder.  Then go into the Temp folder and select all files, and drag them by the first file in the list back into the ROM folder.

This only takes about 20 seconds to do with my 60 or so GBA ROMs - a small price to pay to keep everything in order ;)

Personally, I format my card when I want to change all the roms, and I put them one by one, in alphabetical order.

I don't... too much work. I just quickly shove all the games I want on my card as I see them. It's not too big of a problem cause I don't put that many on.

I've tried fatsort. It works fine on my SD card, I just don't have enough files on my SD to justify alphabetical order.

I tried the linux fatsort on my card and it worked well, so much nicer to see them in order... Ya can grab it though apt-get in ubuntu or debian, or from here for other distros. http://developer.berlios.de/projects/fatsort/

I use windows XP and I have a 2GB SD.  If I sort the files (with explorer) before I copy them to the SD card, I get the files in the same order on the SD card, even in the Supercard list.  I can sort alphabeticly, by date, by size, it doesn't matter.  If the files are already on the SD card, I use explorer to sort them, then move them to a new directory on the same SD.  The move operation is very fast and all the files will now be sorted, even in the Supercard list.
