I have searched forums for the solution to this problem but can not find it.  Everytime I try to program the SP2 i get the error saying Hardware not attached. I have checked bios to see if my settins are correct. From what i have found on the forums i have them set correctly. Any help would be great.

Did you power the programmer with a USB cable?  Try different LPT bios settings . . .  trial and error cant hurt.

also check the write protect switch on the SuperPass 2 is clicked towards the middle so you can program it.

I had the same problem with my superpass 2.  No matter how i tweaked the port settings it just wouldnt work.  Then i tried it on my friends computer and it worked right off the bat.  I think the superpass just isnt compatiable with certain parallel ports, so you might want to try another computer.  Hope this helps...

I had the same problem too, tried 2 different computers one running XP and the other 98SE and 2 different USB leads, same result.

I was able to test a replacement before I accepted it and it did the same on the seller's computer when he tried it, finally third time lucky a third SuperPass2 worked fine on his computer.

Maybe there has been a bad  batch of SuperPass2 that did not work that have been sold, 2 in a row did not work at all, its a bit of a coincidence no?

Bad luck, try and get a replacement and get the seller to test it (maybe program it for you if he is nice) before despatch.

Thanks for the response, guess ill try my buddies computer and if that does'nt work ill see if the seller will replace. Was starting to wonder if I was doing something wrong. Thanks again.
