Hi, i upgraded the firmware for my superpass last night.
Everything worked fine played some games etc, but left the firmware upgrade on my supercard, thinking i would delete it in the morning.
My son wakes up before me(think you see where im going) & i can only guess he ran the upgrade again but switched it off half way through.
I would ask him what he done but he is four & i would get more sense from my cat.
Now i just get two white screens, tried performing the superpass test(L & R then swith on) but still just the white screens.
If i unplug the superpass & supercard & put my mario game in the ds works fine.
Please help i feel like crying

search for "flashmp", you need to be able to do "wifime" ie have a wifi card with the correct chipset + have flashme installed...

Blight

you can also use another flashcard to do the flashmp and you don't need flashme to do it

I take it i would be able to reflash it if i done the wifi method?
If i put in just the supercard on its own, my ds goes to the calinder, pictochat menu etc & the same with the superpass on it's own unless my mario game is in the superpass then it's just two white screens.
I am sure i remember that i could see what was on my sd card with just the supercard plugged in? & that one of my screens said superpass if it was just that plugged in.
I have the tech skills of a fish

Yes that sounds right, but I'm guessing you ( or rather your offspring ) have corrupted the SC firmware via the upgrade, now it can't do anything in GBA or DS mode....

grem543

Thanks for all the info, just some more thick questions
Does the firmware upgrade the superpass, supercard or both, if it is just the supercard should i not get the superpass text on my screen with just the superpass plugged in?.
I have had them both plugged in for months now, so i can not remember what comes on the screen when just one is plugged in DOH!

ratx

Hi you're getting them mixed up... there is no superpass text... the superpass just allows you to boot the SC in "DS" mode....  The firmware upgrade will just update the supercard firmware...  if you boot with the superpass and no supercard you'll get the exact same white screens....  I'd hope anyway ;)

Told you i have the tech skills of a fish  :D .
Thank you so much for all the info.
I have not got a wifi card, so might just get another supercard instead.
I just cant understand how my son accessed the firmware upgrade then switched it off while it was upgrading(only thing i can think he done), what are the chances?, oh well live and learn.

Four year old hacker.

I think you can find a WiFiMe compatible PCI wireless card for half the price of a new supercard, so getting WiFiMe working might be worth the effort.  WiFiMe is a nice tool to have working anyway.

grem543

I just checked the price of both & your right.
I suppose it is my fault for leaving it on the sd card, guess i should have known as he allways goes through every menu & changes the language etc on mario party(should chop off his fingers & get him a dance matt)

You're more than likely going to get him going through the saver menu and erasing your saves too. :?

Did you try GBA mode?
That part of the firmware may still be intact.
Unlikely, but possible.

It's as dead as a doornail, but thanks for all the advice.
Shame, as that was amusing me untill they got the cod2 patch out on the 360, now i have to talk to the wife   .
