I think dev lib would be like a mod of the ndslib or palib (palib is nice)
anyway that card is nothing revolutionary as i seen pics of moded ds carts in japan where they take sds

even more the non flash thing they could easily copy the RSA header off a real game and put it on the card to bypass the need for the flashme

the passme does this

ds asks for RSA SIG
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
passme reads real game RSA sig and relays to ds
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
ds is happy about security and asks for game data
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
passme says the game data is in gba slot
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
ds loads from gba slot

what this device does

ds asks for RSA SIG
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
NINJA reads real game RSA sig(ripped from a rom) and relays to ds
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
ds is happy about security and asks for game data
>>>>>>>>>>>>>
NINJA GIVES DS DATA FROM SD

from this we can see its nothing groundbreaking just a diffrent face to old methods( a more expesive face though as it has to be smaller)

The reason people want it is for the reasons you have just said, it's small, only uses the DS slot. Not to mention it's white so will go lovely with the DS Lite, whenever it's released outside of Japan

yep, thats what its advantages are, however the price is high and they WILL definately not have gba suppourt unless they have a ram chip on it as gba games can only read from a single block memory (all data must be accsessible at one time)

its a spanish mod group but i saw the original pcb boards in a japan website (the device ran only homebrew at that time)

Should be interesting and would cut down on the current confusion with getting DS games to run on GBA carts. I doubt I'll be getting rid of my supercard any time soon though.

I hope not.

I think the dev lib will support directly accessing the SD, the ninja RAM, as well as transferring control back to the ninja menu from a homebrew app. (just a guess)

It would be great if Romman offered a dev lib like this.  Then we could launch commercial game roms from moonshell or WinDS, or return to the SC menu after running homebrew.
