Frustrated with error flashing my SuperPass 2!

I received a new SuperPass 2 (my third) and I tried using the programmer and Superpass II software on 4 different PC's, tried setting the PC BIOS for the parallel port, etc but keep getting one of the following two errors:

A. Seems the software works, but the program fails... (one of my PC's)

1. Hardware not connected to PC
2. USB cable not connected
3. Superpass 2 key not open

OR

B. Windows throws an error and the software fails. (three of my PC's)

"playxsvf501b.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the invonvenience."

Error A is frustrating because on the PC that I get this error on I can program my other 2 superpass 2's, but not my new one.  I have to restart the software to be able to program the "working" two, but even the programming on them tends to fail from time to time but will eventually work.  Any understanding of why Error A happens?

Error B is frustrating because Windows keeps throwing it and there is no feedback on why or how to fix it.  What concerns me is that three of my PC's that I used to program my other two superpass 2's are now throwing this error and basically useless with the superpass 2 software.  If my other PC starts this, I will have no way to program my devices.

I need a SuperPass 2 programmed with "ASME-1.xsvf"  This is Mario 64 DS (U).  Number 0056 on the SuperPass II software list.

I have been online looking and there are  lot of people with these errors, but no real answers anywhere as to why.  I can't get any replies from the supercard.cn forums or tech support.

I think I am sufficiently versed in PCs, software, programming, etc to be doing this correctly, but something is really wrong and I KNOW that someone has to have seen both these errors and worked through them.

Thank you for any help, I would really appreciate it.

had the same problem, but managed to solve it!  It's possible that an AntiVirus software corrupted your SuperPass2-Software files and thus makes flashing via the software impossible...
>>So, get the command-line program from http://darkfader.net/ds/games/ and use the required files FROM that site (not from the Superpass2 software).  Then flash the Superpass2 manually via the dospromt (DarkFaders site gives you the parameters, they're really simple) "..playxsvf501b.exe passme.xsvf.."

That should definitely work with the problem you're encountering.

Thank you for the reply!  I really appreciate it.

I went through the forum looking for help before I posted and gave that a try.  I downloaded the files, playxsvf501b.exe, .sav, .gba, .xsvf from Dark Fader and tried it via command prompt, but they failed as well.

I'm using the same Symantec AV program (systemworks 2006 Pro) on all my PC's, three don't work and one does.

Just to make sure, are you sure you got everything hooked up right and the little switch on the superpass toggled?

Refer to my awesome superpass guide attached.

I have programmed others before, but the errors windows is throwing is the most aggrivating.
