Alternative to Moonshell for vids?

Been using Moonshell to watch my movies and shows. Very happy that I can do this as I have frequesnt breaks at my job and I can squeeze in 20 min here and there to watch a vid.

The problem I have is that most of the vids I watch start to mess up around 1/2 - 3/4 of the way through. If I watch an hour and a half long movie start to finish all is well. If I watch 20 min, turn off my DS, then later turn it on and go to the place I left off the video and audio go a second or so out of sinc.

Does this just happen to me and if not is there an alternative app I can use just to watch vids or is Moonshell the only thing out there?

Thanks = }

I think moonshell is the best thing to watch movies on your DS, but I do experience the same problem, the sound going out of sync. It would be nice to have a solution to that.

if you see the video and audio is out of sync, just PAUSE the video,and take it of PAUSE again.  This should sync the audio and video stream again.! Work for me when i have the sync problem sometimes.!

Yea thats what I do just pause and unpause.  Moonshell is the best as I could convert a movie and the output file size is really small.  Only thing would make it better is if you could watch things at 23 fps and not have frame issues but 15 is good.

you can get the old movie player here http://www.supercard.cn/eng/download.htm but as far as i know, moonshell is better.

when u play the vid never pause it...

i play my Anime Video n it plays well...
but whenever u pause it it goes de-sync

I was wondering if the sync problem has something to do with the screens switching over when you pause.  When you open a video it plays on the top screen and turns off the backlight on the bottom screen right ?  Then when you pause the video it goes to the bottom screen, behind the progress bar etc.  Could this switching process effect the video sync, and if so would it be possible to limit vid playback to just the top screen, even when pausing ?

No it doesn't. Are you using the latest Moonshell? Press L and it just pauses the video. Nothing else.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

arr, no i don't use the shoulder button cause I am usually skipping through the progress bar.

If you use the D-pad to skip around (left/right = skip back/forward a bit, up/down = skip back forward more) it stays in sync better.

Jumping around on the progress bar causes a lot of desyncing.
