More Hopebuy insecurity!

Okay, basically, I bought mine from hopebuy via credit card, Ipay

I dealt with the entry of data all fine and dandy until the page AFTER you submit the card info.

It loaded perfectly, and told me that the transaction was successful(thankfully I know chinese).

But then there was some pop-up, that was blocked by my iexplore.

I was curious as to what it was, so I decided to enable popups on that site.

However, what I didn't know was that by enabling pop-ups, it would also refresh that page.

For those of you more familiar with the internet, you would know taht by refreshing, you can't/shouldn't resubmit post-data, which I decided not to, in case they charged me double. So basically now I can't access that page.

Now I have 2 questions

1) Was there any info I had to take note of on that page(I'm going to have to kick myself for this one)

2) Was there anything else I need to do after that page? More specifically, after submitting the card info to the page, what else do I have to do, or was that the last page I had to deal with? Am I supposed to wait for a confirmation email from hopebuy? Approx when will that come?(this is more than 2 questions)

Sorry, I'm kind of in a hurry, since I have to leave the country soon.

K, thx.

If I understand you correctly, then the page you saw was the order confirmation - you should get an email invoice confirming the purchase details.

As for a refresh re-sending post data, then it does.  IE is an awful browser, and if you are in the least concerned about online security then you should get yourself a (free) copy of Firefox from http://www.getfirefox.com ;)

Actually I do use firefox, just that there was some problems in the purchase while using firefox, so I decided to switch over to IE temporarily.

How long should the email take to come?

As far as I remember, the confirmation email came pretty much right away after I purchased it, but you should perhaps allow 24 hours.  If you are in doubt, you could always email hopebuy and query it with them.

If it was me, I would check my credit card online after 24 hours to see if the payment has come off as well.

When I bought mine, it went to the 'transaction successful' page - I don't remember any popups at all, but I have a very good blocker running ;), and everything went through smoothly.

I would assume that it is OK since you were directed to the confirmation page, and sleep on it for now :)

don't worry.... hopebuy can be trusted.
if they recieved your payment , u will get your supercard within 4 days.
my supercard break down 2 times within 4 mths. they replaced new supercard for me twice. they are excellent service.

BTW, what does "process at location"  mean?

Trustworthy

I did the same thing as the OP with the blocked pop-up confirmation.  Hopebuy received my payment and I wasn't charged twice.  I wouldn't worry.

It wouldn't hurt to shoot Hopebuy off an email saying that you made payment, though, just in case they don't get an immediate confirmation from iPay.

iPay is a horrible site; if it's true that Hopebuy's accepting eBay again you should really go with that option next time for you own peace of mind.
