i have been using my supercard for quiet some time but recently i have noticed it not always finding the sd card or only a few of the itmes showing, i looked at the actual sd card and its wrecked

scratched to bits, but more importantly the small plastic bits that go inbetween the metal strips are now all loose and 2 have broken off!!! i am 99% sure this is due to the Supercard as all my other cards are fine so it isnt my card reader doing the damage

Maybe you got a bad Supercard.

Or maybe you're just using an excessively cheap SD card.

Or maybe you're just not being careful enough with it.

Either way, I've had my SCSD for 6 months, and my original SD card is still perfect, as is the 1GB I picked up about 3 weeks ago.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Sounds like a cheap SD card to me.  Try another one.

sry but i dont think kingston are a cheap make, actually i think they are one of the greater makes of SD cards (kingston elite pro x60) but it has been working fine for many months so i dont know why its gone like this, hopefully a freak one off, either way i still cant slag the SCSD been too good to me, im also going to open the SCSD up and make sure the points are clean , maybe the SD card picked up muck and has transfered it onto them and thats why the "sd card not found" was apearing so often, i am also gonna get a diff SD card if anyone can name a few 512mb ones that they have and dont have slowdown with

How long have you had your supercard?  I had a problem with my SD card not staying in so I got it replaced with a waranty, now I look at the SD card slot and its not the same  one. the socket looks better made. so it might just be that.

i cleaned it and its working at the moment ... but im sure somethings loose, as i cant push the cart in 100% , if i push it in properly, SD not found, pull it out about 1mm and its fine
