Man this technology is coming along nicely!! This looks amazing already, just imagine it in 5 or even 10 years from now. Here is some news about it and a video:

QuoteGames have reached new heights in the recent years when it comes to graphics. From our lovable pixelated brothers Mario and Luigi back in the 80's to the games that are currently coming out now the graphics never stop getting better. So whats the next step you may ask? It seems that IO2Technology is working on that one as we speak.
Thus far they have managed to display 30" diagonal holographic images in 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. The latest version (2nd generation) of the Heliodisplay M2 is also interactive, allowing the users to control the image with their hands. In the video, Ritual Entertainment shows a video of SiN Episode characters displayed on the Heliodisplay M2. Holodeck displays coming from a R2D2 projector lookalike. Apparently the unit is available for rent or to buy.

no, i remember it.. it was pretty cheesy. haha..

some people got ahold of the machines and were able to run normal video game consoles on them.. of course they didn't look as good because they weren't created with a black backdrop (so the characters appear to float in midair)

It used a projection system with a concave mirror of some kind..

you guys think this is good... people have made a  screen thats created by microscopic droplets of water that you can walk throu and not get wet... the screens are VERY easy to see and advertisers have already invested in the technology to put on the streets imagine an advertisement that you can walk throu...  its amazing i'ma go look for a link to see if its on the web yet

EDIT: ok i found the official fogscreen site and where i found it (tv)

you guys should look into it its cool (literally perhaps?)

Edit2: i also heard that the makers are also trying to create an internal projector but this was just talk and is basically a rumor but is probably true (rumor from beyond tomarrow)
