I want to use my DS as a mp3 player, and i understand that the best is moonshell, but i follow the steps in the read me in the 1.0 beta and it just boots and hangs.  is there a tutorial out there or anything?

Which language version did you read? I read English readme and I didn't find anything about Setup.exe. If you didn't try with this, run Setup.exe and choose option for SuperCard (in ROM image section). It will crate a file that should work.

I read English readme and I didn't find anything about Setup.exe.

The English readme is really old, and needs to be rewritten.
