I know alot about this stuff but I just bought a superpass 2 so I can flash my DS lite when I get one  and I was wondering if you need to do anything special to flash with a superpass2?

You sure do. Before flashing, set your DSLite's light to the setting you want it at; it'll remember the setting, but you won't be able to change it after flashing. Get the Superpass software from supercard.cn, and program your SP2 for whatever game you're going to use. (SP2 -> programmer -> connect to both parallel port and USB; be sure to flip the switch on the SP2 and flip it back when done.) Then copy the .GBA and .SAV it tells you to copy to your SD/CF card.

Insert the Supercard, and boot the DS in GBA mode. (Without the SP2.) Run the .GBA you just copied to your card. It will say "SRAM written." Put the SP2 with the game you programemd it for halfway into the DS slot (not fully inserted.)

Do the following steps very quickly: power off the DS, push the SP2 all the way in, and power back on. When you finish this step, the Supercard should boot in DS mode, and you'll see the "Supercard DS" logo on the bottom screen. From this point, reflashing is identical.

Edit: When you go to remove the SP2, don't just yank it out. Pull it out a little bit until it stops, then push it back in and it will click out like a normal DS game. If you just pull it out without doing this, you run the risk of breaking your spring latch.
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Thanks but I realy didnt need to know all of that since I already flashed 5 DS's. All I realy was asking was if it was the same for superpass1 flashing and superpass2.

Try rereading what he said, he stated quite plainly that you DO have to do things differently for a passme 2 and then gave you instructions on what the differences were.
