Games Limit?

Possibly a stupid question, but is there a limit to the number of games that can be viewed by the supercard software?

I have just added another 12 games onto the CF (Kingston 1Gb Elite Pro). All the required files have been added to the card and there is still 300Mb free space left, but there are only 64 games (8 pages when viewed) even thought there are 78 on the CF. Interestingly, one of the new games seems to have replaced a game that was on there previously. Clearly, I hadn't noticed this before as there have been 64 games for some time even though I have been adding to them (probably because I don't play with it).

I see from another post (about game renaming) that the author was only able to view 42 games on his 512Mb card.

I have also seen some comments about putting games into separate folders.

Help would be appreciated, thanks.

well, if there is a limit number of items it can display at the same time, you should try and put the roms in separate foulders, like 20 roms per foulder or so, makes sense, anyway I wouldn't know I only have a 128MB cf hehe.
SC CF + 1GB Kingston CF + flashed NDS = a whole lot of fun.

I think there's a limit caused by Fat file system but not sure. I had the same problem too. So I use folders.

Many thanks for the rapid responses.

Another daft question, how do the folders work? If you create a folder "Mario games" where does this appear? Is it in the root when you switch on the GBA of do you have to go into the filmbin file?

Thanks

Definitely sort them out into folders.  When the SC displays the list you'll see the folders and can navigate into and back out of them with A and B buttons.  I have all my games sorted into category folders.

Many thanks. Looks like I have some work to do! Might as well re-name them at the same time.
