I would like people to post here any games the new Firmware/Software breaks or messes up.  The reason for this is, so people know what games not to patch with the new firmware.

For example; I understand that Animal Crossing does not agree with the new update.  Any other games have problems?

uzumakishade

Metroid prime hunters loads alot slower

xbman

Also post the region / settings used as well. I would suspect that Animal Crossing has problems with all versions (although I believe I have only seen reports of the EUR release). The settings shouldn't matter if it worked in the previous release but you never know.

MAD2X

I tried the US version of Animal crossing with 252 patching software with only trim enabled and it does not load. I'll have to patch it with 251 instead...

It screwed Animal Crossing for me as well, not even the one patched with 251 works for me after the kernel update

Keroro

Strange.
My Animal Crossing game works well with 2.51 and the new Kernel 1.61.
I think everyone having trouble should also write down if they use SD or CF.
It would help figure out things.

I patched it with 251 and it now works... and I use SD version, latest firmware.

Following your advice, I repatched the rom with 2.51 again, and it WORKS! Thanks lots :)

kernel 1.61, US animal crossing works fine with both 2.52 and 2.51 versions. no adverse effects yet of either update, though it is v early yet.

GIDZzz

I patched it with Faster Play Game, Enable Trim ROM and ROM Position Patch set to SD Card and it crashed in random moments. However, if I set ROM Position Patch to Super Card, everything works fine.

just use the last patcher with this rom .. it will work preffecly

Since AC is like the game I spend the most time on, with all these problems, I think I'll hold on for a bit until they're sorted out before I update.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

yep, the last fw and patching soft are working perfect for me, i see no reason to upgrade just yet, i'll wait untill they do a proper release....
SC CF + 1GB Kingston CF + flashed NDS = a whole lot of fun.
