After trawling around for months looking for videos to play in Moonshell (.dpg) I got bored and started making my own. Anyone had a similar experience?

Video looks cool on the DS, but the only portable video stuff I could find was for the PSP and IPOD :(

hi dim, any chance of some instruction on encoding, avi's and dvd rips to .dpg, any help in this would be much appreciated.

I've just been encoding movie trailers to show friends and family.

- Get Quicktime Pro
- Watch Trailer
- Right click>Save a source or quicktime movie
- Open saved movie
- Goto to export>Choose .avi
- Run dpgenc to change it into .dpg

I am doing the exact same thing as dim... for trailers and stuff. For DVD's, I use Decrypter/AutoGK to create the avi and then use dpgtools.

I was curious if there was a better program than dpgtools. When I go the full 256 video bitrate/24 framerate, it seems to hang a bit. Just wondering if there is a better encoder.
