I know it's normal for some screen to not be calibrated well with some homebrew apps, but exacly how bad can it get? Is it only the calibration that is off a bit, or is there something else weird happening?

What I experience with all the homebrew apps I've tried, DS organizer, nitrotracker, and various paint apps, is really annoying. It acts like something is pressed against the bottom left of my screen. Like 1/5 times just tapping anywhere on the screen will leave a mark heading towards the bottom left corner. When using a keyboard, it will also hit keys that are like 2-3 keys of the one I actually pressed, but like I said it's not all the time, only enough to piss you off.

I was wondering if something was wrong with my DS, I look on nintendo's site for troubleshooting, they show you how to clean around your touch screen with a toothbrush to remove dirt, or small crumb's or what not, but only try to clean if you see the object. I looked all around the screen with a flashlite and there is absolutly nothing in there, so that wouldnt be it.

So, I tried getting the same kind of error on both Super Mario 64, and Brain Age. I never got the same kind of error on any retail games and my DS menu also works perfectly so I doubt my DS screen is the problem.

But why would homebrew apps gives me such a hard time with my touchscreen? I cant even draw on it because i get random line half the time. The calibration is good enough though. And I'm sure I'm not touching the screen with my other hand or something.

What did you experience with homebrew apps and the touchscreen?
Any suggestions on how to fix my problem is welcome too!

I found this on cleaning the touch screen. If your Touch Screen is not responding properly, and you have found foreign material between the Touch Screen and the housing of the Nintendo DS.

It's probably not your problem, but hey it is worth a try, and if not it is good info to have for future reference.

I got the same problem with ScummDS. And the solution could be following:

Calibrate the DS in the options menu. Really, just do it....

This happens after you Flashed your DS. Normal (commercial) games work fine and in homebrew the calibration is way off. :?

Let me know if it worked.
