OK here are two very interesting things. I just bought a new Supercard SD from Kick Trading (this would now be my 3rd Supercard SD that I own). When I stick it it either my normal DS or my Lite... it automatically boots right into the Supercard Menu. There is no Passkey of any sort being used. Just goes right into the menu and the games all work too. It had 1.60 firmware and I upgraded to 1.61 and it still does it.

My other 2 Supercards have to use a Passkey... or when using Flashme, I have to hold down A+B+X+Y... but not with this new card. Turn it on and BOOM the menu is there.

The other thing is... when I am in the Supercard menu in DS mode and I go to play a GBA game... the game works fine and the bottom screen powers off. My other two Supercards don't power down... they still have white screens.

Is this normal or something new?

how old is the fw on your other SC SDs? if they all have 1.61 they should all function as your newest does (assuming you have FlashMe installed). my SC SD started as a fw 1.43 almost a year ago - it functions indentically to your new kid.
..4...h.e.a.r.t...6.6.6...

First let me say that those two new features... I didn't know were there. Guess I didn't read the new features closely enough.

So the new card has those cool features... which means my other two cards have somehting wrong. I checked their Firmware versions and they were 1.61. Puzzling. What I think my mistake was... was going from 1.54 to 1.61.

So I decided to go back down and loaded 1.60 and then back 1.61. Low and behold... they work exactly like the new card. So I think I am good now.

Rob... thanks for sparking the insight and getting me ontrack!

Yea I had that same problem mine had something like 1.54 or whatever on it.  they should realy fix that for people who buys one and have old firmware on it.

me too. i had that problem on my old supercard CF.  It seemed to work after upgrading to 1.61, but then it just stopped working on any DS roms patched with 2.51 and above... Then I downgraded to 1.52 (.bin file), and upgraded step-by-step to 1.61 (installing each upgrade in order).  now everything works perfectly.  I guess I should have known that would be how it worked, but it's been so long since I dusted off that old supercard CF (i have a couple supercard SD's and an m3 slim) that I forgot to take care in upgrading.
