Is the transparent glossy layer protecting the solid colour case removable after removing the triwing screws or is it glued on? Some dirt & grime seems to have slipped in between the edges over time & I would like to clean it up.

Any help much appreciated!

If it at the edges, on some places you can kinda lift the layer up a bit, then I slipped a small piece of tape up in there to pull the grime off.  I haven't done it in awhile cus i have a black dsl now

Hello, I wouldn't try to do this because I think a bit of Grime looks better than a massive scratch you can make when trying to push the layer up with a screw driver... Trust it does happen

I was saying that you could end up with a massive scratch if you use a Screw-Driver, maybe he cant use he's fingernails because he has some weird disease that makes his Nails very weak? Who knows?

P.S My Grandma had that disease and when she was opening the oven door the nail flicked of and got her in the eye and she died, Who says the same cant happen to him?

you cannot separate the two sections because they are formed together. but when you do take off the top and bottom, you can clean the lip. (the transparent part sticks out about 2-3 mm)
