I'm using software v2.0 (although I tried also v1.0) and trying to program my Super Pass 2 with APPF-0.xsvf file. I've tried to do this on 10 PCs. I heard there might be a problem on some Windows XP systems (that there's a file you need to copy if you have troubles on XP), but I can't find anything on this subject. The error I keep getting is the usual 1.2.3. like something wasn't connected properly. Does anyone know what's wrong? If not I guess I'll send it back to the shop I bought it from (they say they test everything and have no troubles programming so maybe they'll do it for me), but I'd rather do this myself seeing how much time I'd lose. Can anyone help me out?

If you haven't already, check your DS firmware version.  You might not need to program your superpass2.  Superpass2 comes pre-programmed as "passme".

Check your version

If you do need to program your superpass then make sure you use the USB connector for power, and the LPT connector for communication.  Try different BIOS settings for your parallel interface.

What am I to change there and how exactly? I've tried it hundreds of times connected just as it is said in the instruction manual. My NDS is pure white with a new FW so yeah - I need a Pass 2 (my screens flash dark green).

Wrong. Unless you have an iQue, dark green means you have DS FW3.

"If you have FW1,2, or 3, you can use PassMe1. If you have FW4 or 5, you need PassMe2."

Lucky you, this should be easy. Your version DS only needs "passme". Superpass2 should come pre-configured as "passme" by default (mine was).

Update supercard firmware . . .
1) remove superpass2 from DS
2) format SD as FAT (not FAT32)
3) copy latest supercard firmware bin file (v1.61) to SD
http://www.scdev.org/index.php?cat=downloads&type=sd
4) put SD into supercard, put supercard into DS, power on DS
5) select DS option "Start GBA game" to start supercard in GBA mode
6) you should now see supercard menu, yes?
7) select and run supercard firmware bin file

Test supercard+superpass2 in DS mode . . .
1) put superpass2 switch in up position
http://www.supercard.cn/superpass2/images_en/image008.jpg
2) insert superpass2 (and game) into DS, then power on DS
3) you should now see the dual screen supercard logo menu, yes?

Patch "clean dump" game roms . . .
1) verify game roms with Nintenren software
2) patch game roms with latest supercard patcher software (v2.52)
http://www.scdev.org/index.php?cat=downloads&type=sd
3) use this list for best patcher software options
http://www.dualscene.net/lists/index.php?listname=Supercard
4) copy patched *.dsq and *.sav files to SD
5) run patched files in DS mode

Let us know at what point you run into problems, if any. Good luck.

ROTFL it works. I did this test once just for fun - someone told me that ALL colour (non-silver) NDS need PM2 and I never did actually check it with that chart. I feel so stupid now. I guess the programmer I got is a piece of junk but to think I could do this all along. Thanks bitblt - you saved me a whole lot of time (also showing me what idiot I am, duh).

No problem, It's a common misunderstanding.  I was a supercard+DS n00b too once.  I'm still learning new stuff daily.  Have fun, and buy games you play often. Throw Nintendo a bone.
