Hi, I have just taken delivery of a new supercard, and kingston cf 1GB card, when booting my sc says no cf card.

I have formatted card on 2 PCs , both as FAT, still no joy - any ideas please ??

(CF Details - Kingston 1024MB CF/1024 3.3V/5V 9930413-003 A00 Made In Japan)

i have a 1GB Kingston CFC as well but if i remember properly mine is made in Taiwan and not Japan.

Btw i did not had to format my card as of yet.

Sorry can not help

I have tried an old PSION 16MB card I had laying around and still no luck , so it maybe the usb card write, or the sc unit itself, both my cards were formatted as FAT.

I have also tried a second 1GB Kingston card (Japan) as well, still no luck :(

give the card a label in windows, i.e. FLASH and do not quick format

Check if CF card is I or II type. The II type doesnt work with SC. And maybe if your card is a model with an increased transfer speed instead of standard one - this may B the reason of your problems.

card is type I, no indication that it has increased transfer speed on any of the packaging, thanks for the info, still no joy :(

I have tried a normal format (not quick), and applied a short label such as CF1 for volume, still no joy :(

After trying three different CF I'd have no doubt the SC is faulty.
You should check where you bought it for a change.
