Weird Question, come read please.

Like many of you, I'm very patiently waiting (haha yea right) for the release of the DS Lite. I'm just wondering if any of you know when they release the DS Lite in the deparment stores, such as Target. I plan to purchase it there because I will have a giftcard that I want to use.

Will they release it two or three days at Target after they release it at places like Gamestop/EB Games or weeks after? I ask this because I'm sure somebody remembers how they release it with the other consoles. Thanks.

Well the word is that Nintendo is going to announce it tomarrow (the 4th) and it is expected to be released in June. Nothing offical yet but hopefuly they will announce it tomarrow.

Well yes, I know that, but i'm just saying if you know if Target generally gets their consoles a few days later or on the same day as the rest of the stores.

I know i'll probably get speculation answers but i want to see if i should just wait a few days for Target or buy it at Gamestop when it first comes out, if Target does indeed generally release their consoles (DS lite) later.

Sorry if it sounds confusing, but thanks for replying

Not sure about all Target stores, but my buddy got his original DS on launch day from the Target in San Lorenzo, CA.

I wouldnt buy from Gamestop. Had buddy pre-order an XboX 360 from Gamestop and when they launched he went to pick it up and they told him it would be in in about a month,lol. Got mine from Wal-Mart launch day and expect I will do the same for the DS Lite. Target will not get them an earlier then anyone else in the States and shouldn't get them any later.

I got my GB Micro at Target on launch day. Local ToysRUs and EB didn't have them yet.

Screw Target and go to Wal-Mart instead. My local WM usually has games and systems on the shelf a couple days before release date.
