After a search I posted this at the bottom of another thread about the same thing but nobody seems to have checked it.  Sorry about the repeating for anyone who may have seen it.

I have a superpass 2 and an NDS with firmware v2.

I have a supercard which has the latest firmware and I can't get it to boot into the superpass at all.

My superpass is running on v1 and I just get the regular screen where it says there is no nds rom inserted and I can open the gba screen.

I have the tiger woods golf usa version game in.

I have tried moving the superpass and game a little so that they make better contact and pushing it in and out further.

Do I have a dodgy superpass?

Thanks!

Maybe, but not likely.  Does your supercard work fine in GBA mode?  Your version DS only needs "passme". Superpass2 should come pre-configured as "passme" by default (mine was).

The following procedured should work with your setup . . .

Update supercard firmware . . .
1) remove superpass2 from DS
2) format SD as FAT (not FAT32)
3) copy latest supercard firmware bin file (v1.61) to SD
http://www.scdev.org/index.php?cat=downloads&type=sd
4) put SD into supercard, put supercard into DS, power on DS
5) select DS option "Start GBA game" to start supercard in GBA mode
6) you should now see supercard menu, yes?
7) select and run supercard firmware bin file

Test supercard+superpass2 in DS mode . . .
1) put superpass2 switch in up position
http://www.supercard.cn/superpass2/images_en/image008.jpg
2) insert superpass2 (and game) into DS, then power on DS
3) you should now see the dual screen supercard logo menu, yes?

Patch "clean dump" game roms . . .
1) verify game roms with Nintenren software
2) patch game roms with latest supercard patcher software (v2.52)
http://www.scdev.org/index.php?cat=downloads&type=sd
3) use this list for best patcher software options
http://www.dualscene.net/lists/index.php?listname=Supercard
4) copy patched *.dsq and *.sav files to SD
5) run patched files in DS mode

Let us know at what point you run into problems, if any. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply bitblt but I am not able to see the superpass dual screen.  My supercard does work fine in GBA mode but whenever I have the superpass2 in it just boots to a normal ds screen and says that I have no ds card inserted.  My cf card is formatted to fat and I have updated to the latest firmware. I am unsure of what else I can do.  I have fiddled with the superpass to try to insert it further and pull it out but to no avail.
Any further help is much appreciated!

I think your DS firmware version might not actually be v2. The procedure is different depending on what version DS firmware you have. You may need to program your superpass2.  Please run this DS firmware test . . .

Hi bitbilt,
Nope, definitely fw2.  The screens go a greyish blue.  Any other ideas?
Thanks!

Hi. Make sure the superpass2 switch is ok (up).  Can you re-program your superpass2 as "passme"?

Marvin

Yes I have tried the switch in both positions.  How do I reprogram the superpass as passme?  I have used the superpass2 program to change the superpass2 to a superpass1 and that doesn't work.
Thanks for your help so far!

Just checking . . . did you put a game cart in the superpass2?  Try re-programing your superpass2 as passme1 again.  If you think it's broken then PM me if you want to trade for a regular passme v1.5.

Marvin

Ok Thanks!  I did put a game into the superpass - Tiger Woods Golf USA version.  I reflashed the superpass and it said to put pass-1.gba and pass-1.sav on the cf card but I am unable to find these files.  Do you know where they might be?  The are not on the software that came with the superpass.  Could this be my problem?
Thanks!
The guy I bought it from said he would replace it for a new one however I need to send it back to Malaysia (I am in Australia).
Cheers!

Marvin

OK - It's working!  After many trials and tribulations I tried a few of my friend's games and one worked!  From that, I was able to run flashme and shouldn't have the trouble again.  Thanks so much for all your help.  Now...  I must post in the other thread as every game that I try with the supercard software gives me a double white screen.  The ndspatch software has worked with a few though.
Thanks again!
