Superpass 2 non-functional?

Here are the steps I have taken thus far with my Supercard SD/SuperPass2 combination.

1. Update firmware on Supercard SD.
2. Plug in Superpass2 to computer, program specific game. (it was successful)
3. Copy .gba and .sav of said game to the SD card.
4. Turn on DS with Supercard SD and SD card inserted. Superpass2 is not inserted.
5. run .gba file, it tells me that the Sram has been written.
6. Insert Superpass2 with the game in it.
7. Powercycle.

This is where it is supposed to boot into NDS mode. It just plain won't. It gives me the warning screen and then the regular screen where I can run .gba games. It says that a DS game is not inserted.

I have reseated this thing about 50 times and programmed 2 different games into my Superpass2. I don't get the common white screens thing, I just can't boot into NDS.

Can anyone give me some advice as to what I could potentially be doing wrong?  Is the Superpass2 broken?

What do you mean by this? Does it load up tp the regular nds menu where you can choose nds game, pictochat, download play, and gba game?
Or does it go right to the sc menu?

It gives the "Warning Health Safety- befrore playing read the health... blah blah... Touch Screen to continue" screen, and then the regular nds menu with pictochat, download play, and gba.  It says that no DS card is inserted.

No SC menu at all.

You sure the superpass is all the way inserted till it clicks? That's the only thing I can think of.. if it does, then you may just have a bad one. Send it back and ask for a new one.

Yeah, I pushed it till it clicked.  Like I said, I reseated it 50 or more times trying to get the damn thing to read.  Ohh well.  Thanks for the replies, I ordered a Passme2 from somewhere else.

I had this happen to me just yesterday.
I tried everything but always ended up not able to boot in nds mode.

Even though my passme 2 appeared to have programmed ok on the pc   I thought I would retry setting it up. I put it to a standard passme then back to the nintendogs setting that matched my original cart. This time it programmed much quicker and worked in the ds straight away.

Okay, I just did this and it indeed seemed to program faster.  However it still does not give me the SC menu.  It still won't recognize the SuperPass2.

I have programmed the Superpass2 with multiple games, tried the switch up and down with all of them, tried going back to a Passme1 and then program back to the DS cart I'm using.

Is there anymore advice I should take, or is this thing busted?

Hi Mudcycle, did you get it working in the end? I have just received a DS lite and am having exactly the same problem as you with my Superpass 2.

Blight

This problem mostly accours when the ds card doesn't make full contact with the superpass.
pull the ds game out 1/2 of a millimeter, works everytime for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, I gave it a go but no difference. I've actually had the Superpass 2 a couple of months and I was using it fine with my old DS (using the originally programmed Passme 1) until I installed flashme.

I have tried programming the Superpass 2 using two different computers incase there was something wrong with the port or software (tried superpass v1.0 and V2!) and tried using a couple of different NDS games I have and the software tells me that it's been programmed successfully every time but it just boots to the regular NDS option screen and says no DS cart is inserted every time, as mudcycle said.

I tested programming the Superpass 2 back to its original Passme 1 setting and it seemed to work.. when I tried it in the DS afterwards it booted to two white screens which I gather is what is expected to happen if you use Superpass 1 on newer firmware(?).

I am having the same problem.  I have a superpass 2 and an NDS with firmware v2.

I have a supercard which has the latest firmware and I can't get it to boot into the superpass at all.

My superpass is running on v1 and I just get the regular screen where it says there is no nds rom inserted and I can open the gba screen.

I have the tiger woods golf usa version game in.

I have tried moving the superpass and game a little so that they make better contact.

Do I have a dodgy superpass?

Thanks!

Did anyone of you find a solution?

I'm having the exactly same problems.
I use the new SuperPass 2 Special Edition, Mario Kart DS (E), a Supercard CF
and my DS which gives a yellow color in the pictochat test.

My Supercard CF works fine in GBA mode.

When I have the DS in auto mode, it just boots straight into GBA mode.
When I have it in manual mode, it says "There is no DS card inserted.".

Anyone?
