Hi i have a Nintendo DS Lite and i tried to put flashme onto it and it got to 1% it then turned off and now the start+select+A+B wont work i need it to be flashed using ppflash but i dont have detailed enough instructions on how to make the wire and what bits to solder etc so i need somebody who is capable of doing this to tell me all of this information or better yet somebody who lives in the uk i could send it to and for them to fix it as i am not very good with soldering i am using this site because a lot of members have a great level of respect in the community and technical knowledge on these forums i dont suppose any1 knows of a kinda dummy guide for ppflash on the net cause that would be very helpful

Cant wait to here your replies  :)

cheers kyle

If you have access to a non-corrupt DS lite that might be a way to fix it. Can you confirm the bios chip is in a socket wrather than soldered onto the mainboard?

There are decent guides on darkfader site about PPFlash, but Im not sure if anyone has redone it with a DSLite in mind at this point. It shouldnt be too tough, but its possible enough has changed that the PPFLash util may not even work with the new BIOS.

You may also want to go to gbadev forums

the guy who made flashme is around there alot (nick is olimar IIRC) and someone else may have had your problem too.

Judging from where the firmware sits on the original DS (the thing that you solder when using ppflash), I'd guess it's the thing with the rubber foam on it where you can see an "F" and part of a number in the immage...the foam would also make sense if it was removable (to keep it from falling out yet being soft enough to keep it from shattering on outside impact).

But that's just optimistic thinking on my part...I have no idea about any of this or about hardware like that in general, just guessing out of the blue....any confirms or corrections?
