hmm well if ive got it right if you turn up the light of the nds light the screens look alot better and all the other stuff. but then you flash the ds with v6 you cant choose between the brightness of the ds light anymore.

isnt there a way that the normal ds would be able to turn up the light ?
couse its possible in vewtifull joe you can put the light on mediun off and high cant the nixe flashme add the feature to the old ds's ?

Not if the old screens don't have backlights that even have that capability or backlight inverter control to make it possible.  You can't magically get new capabilities on old hardware with new software.

I thought I said no.  Unless the backlight inverter in the original could be adjusted, which there is no indication that it could.

I think that it will be worth a try if/when they come out with the new flashme for the DSLite.  Like you said you can adjust the light in Viwtiful Joe, so maybe just maybe if the light on the old DS is not already at its brightest, we can squeeze out alittle more from it.

Also, what if the backlight burns out?  Is there a replacement bulb.  Maybe we can just replace with the new DSLite bulbs.

There is one thing bugging me about this...
Additional hardware has to be put in to make the light adjustable, but I don't think nintendo would put in extra hardware if it wasn't used.

The backlight is not adjustable - Conslusion: The required hardware is NOT there.

But didn't the first poster say that the backlight CAN be adjusted (off/medium/high) in Viewtiful Joe? I've never played that game, so I wouldn't know - but that's what he said ... therefore it would seem the original DS does indeed have the hardware needed to adjust the backlight ... ?

Your wrong. You can adjust backlight brightness in Viewtiful Joe. How about you post after you've actually played it and know for sure next time?

Look man, I beat the game ok. That brightness setting is for the IN GAME GRAPHICS....not the damn LCD!!! Play minish Cap on GBA and it has the exact same option. And for backlight, its either on or off like I said. Now, Y DONT YOU PLAY THE GAME BEFORE MAKING LAME COMMENTS!!!!
