Second page of ROMs don't load

I've uploaded a few roms to my mini-SD card and the first 8 on the first page of the SC loader all load fine, but when I move down onto the second page 9 - 16 they don't load. The loader shows 00000/00008 and doesn't do anything after that. Is this a problem that is common to the SC or something I have done wrong? I'm using the latest kernal and copying software as well.

Have you tried reformatting you mem card, use FAT not FAT32.

Also make sure you don't use compression with the latest patcher as there is a bug.

But it does sound like a weird problem to be honest.

Yeah, I've reformatted the card a few time all as FAT each time. I'm also using no compression. I will try and previous version of the patcher and see if I get the error again.

Just tried an old patcher and no difference, just comes up the same for the anything on the second or third page etc. I've tried it with a normal SD SC and the same happens with that. It's not that much of a problem, I don't really want more than 8 roms on the SC at a time, but I'd rather it work than crash.

Guess it's a faulty memory card then, I wish they would make these things more robust.

Hmmm It is a Kingston 1GB card. It's worked fine, I can't see it being a problem with the card as they would all not work. The only other thing is i'm using the Datel Max Media Launcher with it as the passme device. I'll just only keep 8 roms on at a time.

Did you try putting the ROMs in a folder?

No, but I see what you mean. I will try all the roms in 1 folder, then try 8 roms in each folder. Will get back with results soon.

One question, Everytime I try to delete off my card, I get a Windows Error, Cannot find File. However, is it still deleted off the memory card. Now when I go to use the Mini-SD in either the SC, it isn't recognised, or the PC again, the card needs reformatting. This makes me think that the card is possibly broken, which would give me an answer to why the second page of roms may not work. Any thoughts? I thought this may be a problem with the card reader in my pc, I don't have a second reader to try however.

Any thoughts? All are welcome.

Right, I tried all the Rom's in one folder, same problem. I then tried 6 in one folder, and 4 in another folder. The first folder worked and the second folder has the same problem again.

Does this mean it is a faulty mini-SD card/reader? I can try another some time soon at a friend's. I don't have the cash to buy another card unless i'm sure it is faulty.

You should try reformatting your SD card and then doing a check disk on it. There may be bad sectors. (Right ckick on drive -> Properties -> Tools tab -> Check now...)

Nope, no luck with checking for errors, or defragging. Even the roms that don't work on the second page work on the first page, so it isn't a problem with the dumps. I really don't know what to do.
