running *.bin files in nds mode with supercard sd

hello there!

so i've only been been running nds code through my supercard sd with a Max M L for a couple of days, and i've managed to get regular games and homebrew progs running fine (ie renaming *.ds.gba files to *.nds).

the problem i'm having is with homebrew progs that come as *.bin files. these files keep on loading up once selected through the supercard menu as gba roms. i've tried the various button press combination whilst getting to the supercard menu, but i know it is booting into nds mode anyway. I didn't think that the SC patcher could help, as it only recognises *.bin files as gba.

could someone enlighten me as to what i have done wrong, or if there is something obvious i have missed.

try renaming the .bin files as .nds? if that doesn't work try appending the ndsloader.bin... beyond that I dunno... what homebrew just comes as a .bin?

blastit

thanks for the advice I will try renaming

snesDS comes as a bin

nope renaming the *.bin's to nds doesn't work :/

does anyone with a supercard SD have an answer?

you need to use makends.bat on the .bin to make a nds executable for snesds
ilver DS>White DSLite>Black GBA Micro>SCSD>SCLite>DSLink>4GB Transcend sd>2GB Patriot sd>512 MB Sandisk microsd>1 GB Sandisk microsd

blastit

sure that can work with snesds.bin, but would i be able to use it with other *.bin files?

plus their are other prog's that come as multiple *.bin files.

its a lil bit confusing

have a look at the make_nds.bat in snesds, if these .bin files are the arm9/arm7 files you'll need to use ndstool in the same way.
