I plan to buy one soon. However, I've seen users from other forums complaining that theirs become bricks. Because while flashing, it tends to shut down abnormally. With some luck, they can still switch it on and resume.

For me, I do not even know where the SL1 for the NDSL is. Can someone be kind enough to show me the proper way to flash it w/o bricking the set? :evil:

the only truley fail-safe way to flash the ds is to not flash it and use the max media launcher, but theis does not have protection for the bricking code, to find sl1 open the battery case, and then take of the sticker ( i think its red blobs) its down that gap
