Using savegames from other flashcarts...

Hey all!

Just a quickie; I've owned an eCube flash cart for a couple of years, and have built up a small collection of GBA savegames (backed up onto my HDD).  I'm wondering if it's possible to use these with the SuperCard miniSD (running on a DS Lite with Flashme)?

I've only tried 1 game so far (Aria of Sorrow) - just copied the .sav file over to the cart with the patched ROM, but it didn't work (no savegames found)...

Is there a way to make it work, or am I gonna have to keep using my eCube for certain GBA games?  I would've thought that a .sav file is pretty generic...

Any advice greatly appreciated!

.sav files are pretty generic, and those files should work with your patched roms. Are you making sure to name the file the same as the patched ROM? (Outside of the extension, of course... blah.gba + blah.sav)
Manually signing your posts is dumb.

Firmware versioning: Get a Passcard 3, a SuperKey, or a slot-1 flashkit. Then it doesn't matter which firmware you have.

Are you able to play the saves on VBA? If you are, just go into the file menu and export to battery save.

@m2pt5; yup, AOS.gba & AOS.sav...

@moneydog96; just had a quick look and no, I can''t get it to work - after importing the battery file it stil acts as if there are no save games...
(although I could never get the .sav files to work in VBA when I owned an F2A cart years ago)
