DS wont turn on

My DS has been working fine flashed for months now (since Nov.) but yesterday, after being sat on my desk for a week, it wouldnt turn on. I plugged the DS in thinking the battery had just ran out, but still the power button did nothing. I tested the charger with my SP and it works fine so now i dont know what to do! Im thinking maybe its blown a fuse?

Anyone know whats up or how to fix it?

im going to guess no-one knows whats wrong with it? In that case, does anyone know a place that sells DS motherboards (or whatever they are) and ship to UK?

It could be the battery. Also, check the fuses. If that doesn't help I have two DS main boards for sale for $30 each (not shown in pictures of fuses).

Thanks, ive checked the fuses and there fine, so I guess i should buy a battery? I'll order one tonight and see if that fixes it. How much would shipping be to the UK on one of those boards?

Hi ,

I had a similar problem when changed my shell. Im not that technical so just sent mine to consoleplus in the UK, they fixed me up a treat.

Said was fuse gone, then when fixed that the top screen didnt work after ribbons all checked.

Mine came back with fixed DS slot, new top screen (no more dead pixel), fixed fuses and even somehow sorted my touch screen which wasnt clearing properly when powered off. Couldnt complain about the price !

They said have many spare parts from dead consoles, they will maybe have the bits youre after. Youll find the website if google it.

Thanks, im very confident the fuses are fine on mine, and after testing the battery, ive found its totally dead (used voltmeter and tested it in SP). So a new battery SHOULD fix it! It should arrive today or tomorrow, so I should be back on mario soon!

I hope the new battery solves your problem. If the battery fails to re-charge you might still need a main board. Good luck.
